He has structured and deployed nearly $1 Billion in capital utilizing market rate debt and equity, Historic Tax Credits (HTCs), New Markets Tax Credits (NMTCs) and by working with economic targeted capital providers. Mr. Kunin brings an expertise in combining numerous public, private, market-rate and socially-motivated capital sources in order to secure the most flexible financing clients and sponsors. Mr. Kunin has previously worked at Next Street, Pembrook and Citigroup. Most recently at Next Street, Mr. Kunin was a Director responsible for managing the company’s Project Finance activities. Prior to joining Next Street, Mr. Kunin was a Vice President at Citi Community Capital, the community development finance arm of Citigroup. Mr. Kuni began his career as a management consultant with Deloitte Consulting providing technology and operations advisory services to Fortune 500 clients. Mr. Kunin holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with honors from Boston University and a Masters in Business Administration with honors from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Gloria is the co-founder of Rise Community Capital and is responsible for managing all of Rise’s activities including business development, transactional work, client management, talent recruitment, and financial management activities of the company. Gloria brings two decades of community development finance and investment experience. As a founding principal at Rise Community Capital, Ms. Lee has completed $2.2 Billion of transactions involving a wide variety of capital structures and sources. In addition to launching and investing successful equity and loan funds, she has raised and deployed debt and equity for small / medium sized businesses, nonprofit facilities, and transformative mixed use real estate projects. She works with for profit, non-profit, financially-motivated, socially-motivated investors and government entities in executing economic development-driven financing initiatives. Prior to founding Rise Community Capital, Ms. Lee has held leadership positions at Next Street Financial, and at two of the nation’s largest community capital divisions, Citigroup (Citi Community Capital) and JPMorgan Chase. Ms. Lee received a Bachelor of Arts with honors from the University of Chicago, and received a Masters in Public Administration from Columbia University. She brings a mix of accounting, finance, real estate development and non-profit management experience.   Prior to joining Rise Community Capital, she was the Director of Finance at Judd Foundation, a non-profit artist foundation for Donald Judd with locations in NYC and Marfa, TX, where she managed all financial aspects of the foundation. She was previously the Chief Financial Officer of The Rose Urban Green Fund, the NMTC arm of Jonathan Rose Companies. Joy began her career working in the audit division of Deloitte &amp; Touche, LLP. Joy has a Master of City Planning from University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in Community and Economic Development and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minor in Spanish from Tulane University. She is an advisory board member of the Tulane School of Architecture.  Joy has a strong interest in Modern and Contemporary Art. She enjoys exploring different cities and finding opportunities to speak Spanish or German. Raised on the Gulf Coast of Florida, she feels most at home at sea level in a tropical environment.</image:caption>

Previously, Jenny worked for Bank of America as a Regional Director managing the end to end real estate process in 20 states in the Central US. She also worked as a Relationship Manager, Portfolio Manager, and Governance Director. Her experience includes real estate development / management, change management, sustainability operations, compliance/governance, and process design.  Prior to Bank of America, Jenny was in the field of international economic development in Nepal where she worked with clients such as USAID, World Bank, UNDP, Danida, Environmental Health Project. She worked on behavior change communications, non-profit management, and driving economic development during a time of conflict.  Jenny received a Masters of Business Administration from UNC Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School and a Bachelor of Arts from Bowdoin College. Jenny grew up in Amman, Jordan and loves to travel, exploring new places off the beaten path. She enjoys painting, trying new food, and hiking the Hudson Valley.</image:caption>

Combining skills learned as a community organizer, an urban planner, a lender and as an investor, he is committed to finding innovative and balanced solutions to address housing and economic development challenges that exist in communities and cities throughout the country. Prior to joining the RISE Community Capital Team, Erik was the Director of Development for the City of Hartford where he was responsible for managing the City’s Housing, Economic Development, Planning, Building and Licensing and Inspection activities. Throughout his career, Erik has focused on building and implementing successful public private partnerships his previous roles include Senior Director for Strategy Policy and Innovation with Elm City Communities, Vice President of Development for National CORE,  Executive Director of the Livable City Initiative in New Haven, Connecticut and a Principal with TRF Ventures and as a Special Assistant for the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development for the District of Columbia. Erik is a graduate of Trinity College in Hartford CT and holds a Master's Degree in City and Regional Planning from Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD. Erik and his wife, Dawn, and their two daughters live in New Haven, CT.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Sarah supports Rise Community Capital through project engagement with CDE/CDFI and project sponsor client as well as with strategic initiatives. She brings over a decade of experience in creative financing for community development and real estate projects. Previously, Sarah was the Vice President and Senior Loan Officer at PIDC in Philadelphia, responsible for deploying a diverse set of real estate capital products including construction &amp; bridge financing, New Markets Tax Credits, CDBG &amp; HUD 108, EB-5, and other specialized programs. During her six years at PIDC, she successfully deployed $160 million to for-profit and nonprofit borrowers in a wide variety of industries including office, mixed-use, manufacturing, hospitality, healthcare, and education. Prior to PIDC, Sarah worked for the Pittsburgh non-profit economic development entity RIDC where she worked in several aspects of the real estate development process including analyzing, pursuing, and closing the financing for real estate projects as well as overseeing community &amp; stakeholder engagement. Sarah has also worked on community development projects in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and her hometown of Youngstown, Ohio.  Sarah has a Bachelor of Arts from John Carroll University, a Master of Education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University’s H. John Heinz III College and was a 2008 Teach For America corps member in St. Louis, MO where she taught high school mathematics. Sarah lives in Pittsburgh, PA.</image:caption>
